1Your Right to Request Deletion
At autodAIgnosis, we respect your right to control your personal information and vehicle-related data.
You may request deletion of the information associated with your autodAIgnosis account at any time.
Subject to legal and technical limitations, you may request deletion of:
- Your autodAIgnosis account
- Personal information
- Vehicle details
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Diagnostic reports
- OBD history
- Uploaded documents
- Saved maintenance history
- Driving data
- Location data
- Payment-related account information
- Connected device information
Please note that deleting your account may permanently remove access to reports, subscriptions, and other account features.
2What Happens When You Request Deletion
After we receive and verify your request, we may:
- Permanently delete your account
- Remove personal information from our active systems
- Delete or anonymize your vehicle and diagnostic data
- Disconnect linked OBD devices
- End access to subscriptions and premium features
- Remove your information from future analytics and marketing use
Once deleted, certain information may not be recoverable.
3How to Submit a Deletion Request
You may request deletion in any of the following ways:
A. Through Your Account
If you have access to your account:
- Log in to your autodAIgnosis account
- Open "Account Settings"
- Select "Privacy & Data"
- Click "Delete Account" or "Request Data Deletion"
- Follow the instructions shown
B. By Email
You may email us at: delete@autodaignosis.com
Please include:
- Your registered email address
- Full name
- Account ID (if known)
- Vehicle details linked to your account
- A clear statement requesting deletion
Example: "I request permanent deletion of my autodAIgnosis account and all associated data."
C. Through Customer Support
You may also contact: support@autodaignosis.com and ask for your account and data to be deleted.
4Identity Verification
To protect users from unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity before processing the request. Verification may include:
- Email confirmation
- One-time password (OTP)
- Login confirmation
- Proof of account ownership
- Vehicle ownership confirmation if necessary
If we cannot verify your identity, we may refuse or delay the deletion request.
5Time Required to Process Requests
We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days.
In some cases, additional time may be required if:
- The request is unusually large
- We need more information
- The request involves multiple vehicles or accounts
- Legal or technical issues prevent immediate deletion
If additional time is required, we may notify you.
6Information We May Retain
Even after a deletion request, we may keep certain information if required by law, security needs, or legitimate business purposes. We may retain:
- Billing records
- Tax records
- Fraud prevention logs
- Security logs
- Legal compliance records
- Records necessary to resolve disputes
- Information required by government authorities
Retained information will only be kept for the period required by law or necessary business reasons.
7Backup and Archive Systems
Deleted information may remain temporarily in backup systems, archives, and disaster recovery storage. These copies are generally:
- Not actively used
- Protected against access
- Automatically removed over time
Backup deletion may take up to 90 additional days after the original request has been processed.
8Effect of Account Deletion
Deleting your account may result in the following:
- Loss of access to the autodAIgnosis platform
- Permanent deletion of saved reports
- Removal of linked vehicles
- Cancellation of active subscriptions
- Loss of diagnostic history
- Inability to recover previous data
You should download any reports or information you wish to keep before requesting deletion.
9Subscription and Payment Information
Deleting your account does not always automatically cancel third-party payment subscriptions. If you subscribed through:
- Google Play
- Apple App Store
- Stripe
- Another payment provider
You may also need to cancel recurring billing directly through that provider.
Failure to cancel recurring billing separately may result in future charges.
10Requests from Businesses, Fleet Accounts, or Shared Vehicles
If your account is linked to:
- A company
- A fleet account
- A workshop
- A dealership
- A shared vehicle
We may require additional proof that you are authorized to request deletion.
Some information may belong to the business account owner and may not be deleted without their approval.
11Data Deletion Rights Under Applicable Laws
Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights regarding deletion of your information. These may include rights under:
- Indian privacy and consumer protection laws
- European GDPR rules
- UK privacy laws
- California privacy laws
- Other applicable regulations
We will attempt to comply with any legal deletion rights that apply to you.
12Refusal of Deletion Requests
We may refuse or partially refuse a deletion request if:
- We cannot verify your identity
- The request is fraudulent
- We are legally required to retain the information
- Deletion would interfere with security investigations
- The request concerns another person's account or vehicle
If we refuse a request, we may explain the reason unless prohibited by law.
13Changes to this Data Deletion Policy
We may update this page from time to time. When we do:
- The "Last Updated" date will change
- The new version will become effective immediately when published
