Data Deletion Request

1Delete Your Account Yourself

You can permanently delete your autodAIgnosis account and the personal data linked to it at any time, without contacting us.

A. In the app

• Open the autodAIgnosis app and sign in
• Go to Settings, then My Account, then Privacy & data
• Tap Delete account
• Confirm with the code we email you, or with your password
• Type DELETE to confirm

B. On the web

• Sign in at autodaignosis.com
• Go to autodaignosis.com/account/privacy
• Choose Email me a confirmation code, or use your password
• Enter the code and type DELETE to confirm

Deletion happens immediately. We email you a confirmation with a reference number.

2If You Cannot Sign In

Email delete@autodaignosis.com from the address registered to your account, with the subject "Delete my account". You can also use the request form at autodaignosis.com/account/privacy without signing in.

We will verify that the request came from the account holder, usually by replying to the registered address, and then delete the account. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days, and resolve every request within 90 days.

3What Is Deleted

• Your account, profile, sign-in details and two-factor settings
• Your registered devices and active sessions
• Vehicle details, diagnosis history and saved reports
• Scan data you shared from the app
• Your nominee details
• Your waitlist sign-up, if you had one

Your community posts are changed to "[deleted]" and no longer show your name, so that other people's replies stay readable.

4What We Keep, and Why

Some records must be kept by law. They are kept only for the period below, no longer linked to an account, and then deleted automatically:

• Invoices, payments, refunds and credit history: 8 years (Companies Act, 2013; CGST Act, 2017)
• Your email address, name and sign-up date: 180 days after deletion (Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, rule 3(1)(h))
• Any fault-code clearing attestation you gave: 3 years, as a safety record
• Security logs: 1 year
• A record that your account was deleted, with its reference number: 3 years
• Copies inside server backups: up to 90 days

5Unused Credits and Payments

Unused credits are forfeited when you delete your account and cannot be restored. If you believe you are owed a refund, raise it before deleting your account; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If a payment is still being processed, or a diagnosis is still running, deletion waits until it finishes. Try again later.

6Deleting Other Data Without Deleting Your Account

To correct or delete specific information while keeping your account, or to stop optional uses such as research sharing and crash reports, use Settings → My Account → Privacy & data in the app, or raise a request at autodaignosis.com/account/privacy.

7Requests from Businesses, Fleet Accounts, or Shared Vehicles

If your account is linked to:

• A company
• A fleet account
• A workshop
• A dealership
• A shared vehicle

We may require additional proof that you are authorized to request deletion.

Some information may belong to the business account owner and may not be deleted without their approval.

8Requests from a Nominee

If the account holder named you as their nominee and has died or can no longer act, email delete@autodaignosis.com with your identity proof and proof of the death or incapacity. We will act on the request once it is verified.

9When We Cannot Delete an Account Immediately

• We cannot confirm that the request came from the account holder
• A payment is still being processed, or a diagnosis is still running
• The account is an administrator account, which must first be changed to a normal account
• A law requires us to keep the data, or we need it to deal with fraud or a legal claim

If we refuse or delay a request, we tell you why unless the law prevents us.

10Questions and Complaints

Contact our Grievance Officer at privacy@autodaignosis.com. We resolve every grievance within 90 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11Changes to this Data Deletion Policy

When we change this page, the date at the top changes. The new version takes effect when it is published.
